5 Things You Said You Would Never Do That You're Definitely Doing During Quarantine

Hey MWC Mommas,

We know this is one of the weirdest, most difficult times that we have seen in our lifetimes. Being forced into quarantine is ROUGH (although definitely necessary). This is even more true when you have kids. From homeschool to getting no alone time, we are all handling things a bit differently than we thought we might. That being said, DON'T JUDGE YOURSELF. Here are 5 things you didn't think you would be doing during quarantine.

1. Giving your kids candy or snacks just to keep them quiet.

My son gets at least two ice pops a day. Sugar rush, yes. But for 20 minutes of no "MOM, MOM, MOM," I will take it.

2. Let your kids watch a little too much, actually WAY too much TV.

Blippi, the cartoon animals, and Shrek are going to have to take one for the team during this time.

3. Get frustrated and possibly even raise your voice.

We all say we wouldn't, but it gets A LOT being with the little ones 24/7 without even being able to go to the store. If this happens make sure you give your kids a hug after. This situation sucks for them too.

4. Letting your kids stop you from getting your own housework/ work done.

I have just given into the fact that for the foreseeable future, it's going to be chaotic up in here. Something's got to go.

5. Desperately needing ALONE time.

This is NOT wrong. Be kind to yourself. It's okay to feel like you need alone time. If you have someone in the household with you, take turns taking a breather.
